The Departments of Mass Communication and Journalism at St Xavier’s College, Mapusa are conducting a certificate course on ‘How to be an Influencer’ from April 29-May 17. Through the 30-hour course, participants will learn essential writing skills like how to write a simple report, captivating short content, various reviews of books, movies, music and food. The participants will also learn to take photographs to accompany reviews as well as edit shots and clips to create reels and short videos for social media. In addition to this, participants will be able to script podcasts for sports, films and topics of their choice. To further their reach, there will also be sessions on using social media as a promotional tool. There will also be a module on digital storytelling – a modern communication tool used across media for a variety of purposes. The classes will be held from 10 am to noon, five times a week.
