The two groups vying to control the affairs of the Jamia Masjid, Malbhat-Margao came face to face at the South Goa District and Sessions Court complex on Friday when they had come for a hearing.
Both groups traded allegations and counter allegations against each. While one group charged the other for hiring bouncers at the court complex, the rival group rubbished the allegations, pointing out that the persons, who are being labelled as bouncers, are all members of the committee.
After coming face to face in the court complex, one of the groups headed to the Fatorda police to lodge a complaint. The Fatorda police later registered a non-cognizable case.
The two groups have been involved in a battle to control the committee of the Jamia Masjid, Malbhat.
The two groups had turned up for a hearing in the court over the dispute on the Masjid committee.
