Transport Minister Mauvin Godinho has said Union Transport Minister Gadkari has agreed to sanction the entire amount of Rs 177 crore to clear dark spots in Goa in a bid to reduce accidents.
"There are many black spots and blind spots on roads that cause accidents in Goa and we need road engineering to remove these defects. We have identified many such spots and the estimate by PWD was Rs 177 crore,” said Godinho.
“On Friday, Gadkari announced Rs 100 crore straight away and after I spoke to him and requested him for the full amount, he has agreed to sanction the entire amount of Rs 177 crore to correct all the black spots and improve engineering of roads.”
“Gadkari also assured to take up our bus stands and make it into bus ports with posh lounge-like airports," said Godinho.
