The Cuncolim police have arrested a native of Assam in connection with a theft case that was reported at Joecons Marine Exports Ltd at the Cuncolim Industrial Estate.
In the complaint, the company had accused Mohammed Sayed Ali, a resident of IDC Cuncolim, a native of Assam for effecting entry into the complainant’s factory through the rear door and allegedly broke open the office drawers and safe locker and committed theft of cash of around Rs 3.18 lakh.
The accused has been arrested and remanded to six days police custody. A FIR under section 331(4) & 305 of BNS 2023 has been registered.
