Following requests from students, the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) has allowed additional examination opportunities to students of the three-year diploma programme, who have not been able to clear the exam required to obtain their diploma certificates.
The students of three-year diploma programmes of the 2014, 2015 and 2016 batch have been granted the additional attempts. The decision was taken by the Board of Technical Education.
As a final attempt, the students can attempt during the examination in November 2025 and April 2026 Board examination, to clear their programme, failing which they will stand exited from the system.
“Students failing to complete their Diploma programme after April 2026 Board examination stand exited from the system,” the Board of Technical Education Chairman Vivek Kamat said in a notification issued.
Under a three-year diploma programme, the students, with four or less number of courses pending completion are granted one additional attempt, that is November board examination.
Further, the Board has also granted additional attempts to the students of 2020 batch of Diploma in Pharmacy to clear their programme in August 2025, to those who failed in April 2025 examination.
The August 2025 Board examination would be the final opportunity for these students.
