To attract inbound travellers from the United Arab Emirates, Goa Tourism has launched a targeted digital campaign leveraging influencer marketing and social media outreach.

The initiative was announced as the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2025 drew to a close at the Dubai World Trade Centre, where Goa is participating to showcase its tourism potential.

Tourism Minister Rohan Khaunte said the State is expanding its digital footprint in key international markets with the UAE being a priority.

“We are amplifying digital outreach to the UAE through influencer collaborations, social media and targeted campaigns. We have already hosted influencers from countries like Uzbekistan and we plan similar engagements for the UAE market. Such initiatives create authentic content, expand our narrative and reposition Goa as a culturally rich, emotionally resonant destination,” Khaunte said.

The announcement comes at a time when Goa’s tourism image has faced challenges with growing controversies, prompting the government to revive the state as an inclusive and immersive destination.

Goa Tourism is now inviting what they call “the curious traveller” -- visitors interested in Bollywood nostalgia, culinary journeys and cultural roots.

“The post-pandemic learnings have led us to target new, high-value markets like the UAE, which is a strategic region for us. Monsoons in Goa, from June to September, offer a lush, soulful experience, the one filled with mystique, flavour and charm that resonates with travellers from the Middle East,” the minister added.

Highlighting the shift towards sustainable tourism, the Ambassador of India to the UAE, Sanjay Sudhir and Consul General of India in Dubai, Satish Kumar Sivan stated that Goa’s focus on preserving its cultural and ecological heritage aligns well with the preferences of modern travellers in the UAE.
