PANAJI: Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant praised the exemplary role of women officers in Operation Sindoor, highlighting that Wing Commander Vyomika Singh and Colonel Sofiya Qureshi proudly represented India’s Nari Shakti during the mission. He said their participation showcased the strength and leadership of Indian women in defending the nation.

Lauding the unity and diversity within the armed forces, Sawant noted that one of the officers involved in the operation was from the Muslim community. “Operation Sindoor makes it clear that our fight is against terrorism, not against any religion,” Sawant stated.

Operation Sindoor was carried out by the Indian armed forces in retaliation to the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, which killed 26 civilians. Early Wednesday morning, missile strikes were launched on nine terror targets in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, resulting in the destruction of major terror camps.

“There is no place for terrorism in India,” Sawant declared. “Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, the nation is emerging stronger, more resilient, and determined to eliminate the threat of terrorism.”
