From entrepreneur to politician

With a new face in the political scene, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has been proudly showcasing its new woman contender for South Goa boasting not only her capabilities as an entrepreneur but also her untainted background.
Pallavi, entrepreneur and educator, holds a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from Parvatibai Chowgule College in Margao, and a Master's degree in Business Management (MBA) from MIT, Pune. After a lot of brainstorming session by the BJP Parliamentary Board, she was announced as the South Goa candidate.
Currently serving as the Executive Director of Dempo Industries, Pallavi oversees the company's Media and Real Estate divisions. In addition to her professional roles, she is a Trustee of the Dempo Charities Trust, a philanthropic organization committed to assisting the socially and educationally disadvantaged. The trust operates four pre-university learning institutes in Goa.
Pallavi also serves as the Patron of Dempo Vishwa Gramshala.
She has been appointed as the President of the Indo-German Educational & Cultural Society, fostering cultural exchange and enrichment between Germany and Goa. She serves as a Trustee of the Moda Goa Foundation, a fashion and textile museum in Goa founded by Wendell Rodricks.
From 2012 to 2016, she served as a member of the Academic Council affiliated with Goa University. She remains an active member of various other organizations, including the Managing Committee of The Goa Cancer Society. Furthermore, she holds a position on the core committee of the All India Management Association's Women's Council, AIMA Aspire. In these roles, she plays a pivotal part in shaping the direction and activities of these institutions. Her contributions extend to actively participating in programs, events, and initiatives aimed at promoting gender diversity and inclusion in management and leadership roles.
The new politician is now busy campaigning across South Goa as the State goes to polls for the Lok Sabha on May 7.
