Three educators from Goa have been selected among the 50 recipients of the prestigious National Teachers’ Awards for 2024. The President of India, Droupadi Murmu, will present the awards during a ceremony at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi, on September 5, on Teachers’ Day.

Natasha Carvalho from Mapusa ITI and Vijay Chari from Kakoda ITI have been recognized by the Union Ministry of Skill Development for their exceptional contributions to education. Additionally, Chandralekha Damodar Mestri from Satyawati Soiru Angle Higher Secondary School in Canacona, South Goa, will also receive the National Teachers Award.
