SANGUEM
After facing intense heat for nearly a month, residents of Sanguem finally got relief as heavy unseasonal rain, accompanied by thunder and strong winds, lashed the area around 4.30 pm on Saturday, bringing down the soaring temperatures.
The weather had remained extremely hot since morning, leading many locals to predict rain later in the day.
Conditions began changing between 3.30 pm and 4 pm as dark clouds gathered over the region. Soon after, loud thunder was followed by heavy rain and gusty winds.
Many residents welcomed the season’s first rain and were seen enjoying the sudden showers. However, the thunder also triggered a power outage in several localities, causing inconvenience to households during routine evening activities.
Despite the disruption, the rainfall brought a noticeable drop in temperature and created a pleasant and cool atmosphere across the taluka.
