Applications invited for ‘One Station One Product’ scheme

Hubballi Division has invited applications for ‘One Station One Product’ Scheme at 10 railway stations.

A press release by Office of the Divisional Railway Manager, Public Relations Branch, Hubballi said that 

‘One Station One Product’  (OSOP) aims to encourage indigenous and specialized products and crafts of the local region through providing display and sales outlets at railway stations.  

" Hubballi Division of South Western Railway intends to extend this scheme at 71 Railway stations across the Division.   Already, a stall of ‘One Station One Product’ scheme is operational at SSS Hubballi railway station. Now, in the first phase, Hubballi Division has invited applications from the agencies, artisans, weavers, craftsmen, self-help groups, tribal cooperatives, and marginalized and weaker sections of the society to sell their products at 10 Railway stations of the Division.  A tentative list of products has been identified for each railway station.  The list of stations and  products identified  are given below along with contact Number for more details, " said the press note.

" Apart from the above identified products, persons dealing with other indigenous products of the region can also apply for OSOP.  The application may be submitted at respective railway stations. Preference will be given to the Holder of Artisan/Weaver ID card issued by Development Commissioner-Handicrafts, Development Commissioner-Handloom or by the requisite State/Central Government Authority,  Individual Artisans/weavers/craftsmen enrolled/registered with Tribal Co-operative Marketing Development Federation of India Limited (TRIFED)/National Handloom Development Corporation(NHDC)/ Khadi & Village Industries Commission (KVIC) etc., Self Help Groups registered with Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) and Marginalised or weaker sections of the society. ' said the press release. 

"The duration of the stall will be for a period of 15 days at a nominal fee of Rs. 1000.  If more than one application is received for a particular station, a priority roster will be made and established through a draw of lots and this will continue till all applicants in the priority roster are exhausted. A temporary Functional Stall with easy access to passengers will be made available to the participants.  Participants can sell their products at the station and on platforms also.Interested people can also contact 8073562567 for more details" said the press note.
