Students were not present in bus at the time of incident
Fire officials inspecting the school bus of the high school after its electrical wiring caught fire on Tuesday morning.

The electrical wiring of a ‘Bal Rath’ bus belonging to a high school in Aquem caught fire on Tuesday morning, causing alarm in the area.
Luckily, there were no students in the bus at the time, as they were attending classes.
The incident took place around 11.30 am when the bus driver started the vehicle to go to the Forest Department, and a spark triggered a fire in the wiring.
Local residents quickly stepped in to help douse the fire. School staff also brought out fire extinguishers and assisted in the effort.
The Margao fire brigade reached the site and brought the fire under control. Fire Officer Gill D’Souza said the fire caused a loss of around Rs 20,000 and that property worth Rs three lakh was saved.
“Our timely intervention helped to save damage to the engine and the bus. The bus driver did a wonderful job of by restricting the fire by using fire extinguisher,” Gill said.
