The Parish Community of Our Lady of the Rosary Church, Caranzalem, gathered in faith and festivity to celebrate Grandparents’ Day on July 27. The day began with the celebration of Mass at 7.45 am, celebrated by Parish Priest Fr Pio Almeida, with Fr Joism and Fr Jonas as concelebrants. Special blessings were invoked on all grandparents and elders, enveloping them in prayers.
After the sacred celebration, more than 100 grandparents and elders were warmly welcomed into the hall. Joyful children, their faces aglow with admiration and affection, mingled with their elders, lending a spirit of innocence and love to the occasion. The air was alive with reverence, laughter, and the warmth of intergenerational bonds. The morning unfolded into a vibrant programme, brimming with cultural splendour and heart-warming moments.
Festive performances by children cascaded across the stage. The Grandparents’ Day celebration, organised with dedication by the Parish Pastors along with the Catechetical Association of Our Lady of the Rosary Church, Caranzalem, stood as a testament to faith, gratitude, and the priceless legacy of our elders.
The day concluded with a sense of unity and joy, leaving every heart uplifted and every soul enriched in the beautiful tapestry of family and faith.
