Although we chill at any local restaurant like Bhosle or Tatos, the most frequented place by me and my friends is undoubtedly ‘Mamis’. It's a small gaddo, but a major spot for food and socialisation. Not just us, but other Dempoites and students from other college in Althino also frequent it. It doesn't really matter when we go there- free lectures or bunked lectures or before or after college. When I go there I usually order for "Ek samosa aur ek slice”. But, people go to ‘Mamis’ for her delicious prawn patties, homemade Goan samosa, mushroom/chicken roll etc. (you must try them!). A lot of people also go there cause she makes Maggi!

The most common hangout place for us is Cafe Basil. My friends and I also go there whenever our stomach growls- bunk lectures or after college. It's a lovely cafe with a good range of foods and a great ambience as well. The number one reason why we frequent that place is because it is just 30 seconds walking distance from our college. Cafe Basil is well known for its Burgers! I, almost always, order for their Chicken cheese burger. It's a delicacy! I’d recommend people going there to try out their chocolate shake.

Actually there are very few places near our college to hangout, especially for food. So, if we want more options we have to travel quite a distance. This is why, the students of our college usually go Baskin Robbins or the Royal Punjab Hotel or the Rooster (a little further away) to eat. We go there mainly because it is one of the few options we have and we also can sit and chill there for long hours. I normally ask for the chocolate ice cream cake. I’d also recommend people to try the cotton candy ice cream flavour. And in case we decide to hang out at the Royal Punjab Hotel, the Garlic Chicken is a must! It is just 5 minutes walking distance from the college and has reasonable prices too, this makes it a desirable food-spot!

As we don't have much choice of food places in and around our college, the most frequented place is the college canteen. It isn’t special for any dish as such, it's just a regular college canteen. Unfortunately, the menu hardly changes, and so, we have little variety of dishes offered. Well, I could say that we have little choice than to eat the same kind of food at the canteen every day. I usually opt to eat fried rice, chicken gravy and chicken manchurian. Besides that, there is a Monginis outlet found just outside the campus. That would be another food spot. It offers us a variety snacks like patties, rolls, sandwiches and also tasty pastries. It also serves as a nice hangout spot to sit, chat and eat!

Bunking to eat is like the best reason to bunk, and that what my friends and I do! Our canteen is the biggest food-hangout spot. One can find half our college there, almost always. It is well known for its fried rice, Biryani, and Chinese dishes as well, which I would recommend people to try out. It's pricing is also quite reasonable. Other than that, many of us hang out at Cafe Basil too, which famous for its Chicken BBQ burger, chocolate shake and, my favourite, chocolate ecstasy. You will also find Dempoites in Nescafe. These places are situated very close to our college and hence, are convenient locations. I feel, these food hangouts are the best memory makers. What can be better than finding food and fun in the same spot?

The most common food spot for Chowgule tigers is our own college canteen. The food is clean and really tasty with a quantity worth its price. Moreover our canteen also has a different menu everyday which ensures that we don't get the same old boring food over and over again. Bunked lectures, in the morning before lectures, during lunch break, after college- we go there whenever! Our canteen is well know for a lot of stuff. Personally, I enjoy the pizzas, pav bhaji, rasa omelette, biryani, chilly chicken, cheese balls and watermelon juice. Our canteen is like, super chill. During college hours, the canteen is never empty!

Well, most Don Bosco college students go to either Cookie da dhaba, the ‘Anna’ shop, Chicken Man or R.O.C. Though the most frequented place is the Anna’s Shop. It's almost like a canteen, quick service and reasonable prices. Our loved items include potato samosa, egg pattice, wada-paos etc. The second most frequented place is the Cookie da dhaba with good food, quick service, and free WiFi!! We usually go there after college, but at times we bunk as well. I would recommend what my friends and I usually order, that is Aloo or Gobi Parathas, which are very tasty. Students go to these places mainly because they are just a walkable distance away.

I usually hang out with my friends at Cremeux, Mapusa, after college hours. It is famous for its freshly made pizzas, sandwiches and salads. I usually order for a pizza or salad and a drink! Personally, i would recommend people to try out their sandwiches. Cremeux is really likable for its good food and service, reasonable prices and friendly staff. Many Xavierites hang out at Babajis for its good food, drinks and ice cream treats as well. Another typical food spot for Xavierites is the Andy’s Cafe, loved for its shakes, especially the Oreo shake. Besides these, our 2 college canteens- ‘Food Court’ and the ‘Dungeon’ are also major hangout spots for Xavierites. They serve us tasty food, amongst which the most loved include chicken lollipop, omlet pao, beef samosas, bhaji pao, chicken pulao etc.

Most MES students hangout at a food joint called Food Spot. You will usually find us there during the college hours, but specially during break time. It is well known for its franky, dabeli, shakes, pizzas etc. I usually ask for a pizza and fruit salad and would suggest other people to try the same. One of the foremost reasons for visiting the place is for it's hygiene. Moreover, its prices are affordable as well.”
