Former BJP vice-president Sheikh Jina has on Tuesday demanded an inquiry, including the immediate re-examination of the appointment and all promotions granted to Urfan Mulla, headmaster of a Rumdamol based school.

Addressing the media, Jina also called for verification of all qualifications submitted from 1996 onwards, including their authenticity and recognition status. “We demand clarification on how appointments and promotions were approved despite non-compliance with mandatory rules and eligibility conditions”, he said, while further demanding investigation into procedural lapses by concerned authorities and institutions involved in Urfan Mulla’s appointment, transfer, and promotion processes.

“This issue not only highlights systemic weaknesses in recruitment and service processes but also poses serious concerns regarding the quality of education and administrative transparency in Goa's aided school system”, he told the media.

Jina raised a host of issues, right from the appointment of Urfan Mulla as the mathematics teacher to his posting as headmaster, demanding for an inquiry into the appointments as well as all promotions.

Urfan Mulla, however, termed the allegations made by Sheikh Jina as false and baseless. He said the baseless allegations has been levelled against him after he ordered an inquiry into Jina’s functioning as Chairman of Goa Haj Committee. Urfan Mulla is the incumbent Chairman of the Goa Haj committee.
