After Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s rally in South Goa, Home Minister Amit Shah will address a public meeting in the counterpart constituency, North Goa, on May 3.
Addressing a press conference after a special meeting of the NDA in the party’s headquarters on Tuesday, BJP State President Sadanand Shet Tanavade announced that Shah will address a public meeting around 5 pm in Mapusa. Besides, another rally is scheduled a day prior on May 2, Thursday, in Ponda.
Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, also present at the briefing, reiterated the works carried out by the double-engine sarkar while further accusing the Congress of releasing a “communal manifesto” for the upcoming polls.
Responding to a volley of questions, the CM nearly dismissed the need for a Special Status stating that Goa is getting more importance than what it would have received under a Special Status.
“Goa is being given special treatment by the Centre. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has made it clear that he has an emotional connection with Goa and has publicly assured that nothing will be left short of the Goa model of development,” Sawant said.
