The Goa Institute of Management (GIM) has joined the world’s top 6% of business schools recognised for excellence in management education after earning the prestigious AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) accreditation.

Often called the gold standard for business education, AACSB accreditation is a mark of academic excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement. It assesses institutions on teaching quality, faculty expertise, research impact, and student learning outcomes.

The accreditation confirms GIM’s academic and research strengths and will help it expand international collaborations, exchange programmes, and partnerships with leading global institutions.

Congratulating the institute, GIM Director Prof Ajit Parulekar said, “Achieving AACSB accreditation is a major milestone for GIM and brings us closer to becoming a global leader in management education. It reflects the strong commitment of our faculty, students, alumni, and staff. This recognition shows our focus on academic quality, research, and industry engagement. It places GIM among the world’s leading business schools. We will continue to raise our standards and shape responsible leaders who create meaningful change.”

The accreditation follows a multi-year evaluation process that included self-assessment, peer reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.

GIM met AACSB’s global standards through a strong curriculum, innovative research, faculty excellence, and measurable student outcomes. The final phase involved an on-campus review by deans and senior officials from top international business schools. With this achievement, GIM joins an elite global network of business schools, advancing its mission to offer cutting-edge management education that promotes innovation, ethical leadership, and sustainable business practices.
