Gold bangle worth ₹4.5 lakh recovered a year later after being pledged by domestic help

A year after her gold bangle went missing under mysterious circumstances, a woman finally recovered the ornament worth Rs 4.5 lakh after police traced it to a finance company where it had allegedly been pledged by her domestic help.

According to police, the incident occurred at the woman's residence last year. After returning home from work, she had kept the gold bangle in her bedroom. The ornament later went missing while she had briefly stepped out to attend to a courier delivery boy.

The woman immediately suspected her maid, who was present in the house at the time of the disappearance. However, the maid repeatedly denied any involvement and even swore on her family to assert her innocence.

Despite the denials, the woman continued to keep track of the maid's movements over the following months. Her suspicions were confirmed when she discovered that the maid had allegedly pledged the bangle with a finance company to avail of a loan.

Following this, the woman approached the police with the information. After verifying the claim, police intervened and succeeded in recovering the stolen gold bangle, valued at approximately Rs 4.5 lakh, and returning it to its owner.

Further investigation into the case is underway.
