Manipal Hospital Goa recently hosted the ‘WOW MOM’ Maternity Photo Contest, an initiative aimed at celebrating the journey of expectant mothers through photography, rewards, and emotional engagement. The event concluded on May 9, 2025, with winners being announced at a special gathering attended by hospital consultants and dignitaries.
The contest, open to all expectant mothers, invited participants to submit professionally styled maternity photographs that captured the beauty and emotion of pregnancy. The initiative was designed not only to honour motherhood but also to support participants with discounts and rewards on maternity services.
The event was graced by Hariprasad MV, Head of Marketing, Manipal Hospital Goa, along with Dr Mohammed Afzal Siddiqui, Dr Kinjal Avdhut Kothari, Dr Deepak Murty, and Dr Shekhar Salkar from various departments. Surendra Prasad, Hospital Director, also attended and expressed gratitude to all participants.
Winners were selected based on creativity, emotional appeal, and presentation. Leisan Sharma secured the first prize, receiving a Rs 40,000 discount on delivery at Manipal Hospital and a Rs 10,000 gift voucher. Tanya Sharma and Jaswinder Kaur won the second and third prizes, which included discounts of Rs 30,000 and Rs 20,000 respectively, along with Rs 5,000 gift vouchers. All participants received a 10% discount on delivery packages.
The event featured a warm welcome by the emcee, a violin performance, a special video on women and child care, and interactive spot prizes. The top two finalists also shared personal stories before the winners were announced.
