Addressing a press conference at the new complex, Mushtifund Saunstha president Anil Counto said, “We will shift nearly 1500 students studying in standard V to X. Though this Phase I which has been completed is exclusively for the students of primary section, we have decided to shift the high school students first. Aiming at implementing the concept of a ‘smart school’, the classrooms have been provided with facilities like TVs, projectors, smart boards and WiFi, among others. Additionally the facility of video-conferencing has also been provided.

We have already constructed on an area of 5,000 sqmts. The total cost of construction has come up to Rs 9.65 crore. In phase II, the built up area will be 6,000 sqmts. It will have an auditorium to cater to all 1500 students where various activities can be organised,” he said.

Additionally, the management also has plans to set up a state-of-the-art library.

To provide transportation facilities to the students, buses have been arranged from Panaji.

“The State Government has already given us Bal Raths which will be used to ferry students. As per the suggestions given by the parents, we will have ferry nearly 60 per cent of our students.
