Dirty Dancing is upping its star factor in hiring former Pussycat Doll and X Factor judge Nicole Scherzinger. Scherzinger has been cast in ABC's remake of the '80s classic as Penny, the troubled dancer played by Cynthia Rhodes in the original movie. In ABC's version, Baby will be played by Scream Queens' Abigail Breslin and Johnny will be re-imagined by Colt Prattes. Scherzinger has plenty of TV experience, having acted in How I Met Your Mother, Mixology and Sabrina, the Teenage Witch in the past.
