To clear long-pending mutation applications, North Goa Collector Ankit Yadav, IAS, has announced special Mutation Disposal and Facilitation Camps this weekend across five talukas in his jurisdiction — Bardez, Bicholim, Pernem, Sattari and Tiswadi.

The initiative aims to reduce delays and help citizens get quicker decisions on cases that often remain pending for months. The camps will be held at the Mamlatdar offices in Bardez, Bicholim, Pernem, Sattari and Tiswadi on April 18 and 19, from 10.30 am to 5.30 pm.

Citizens with pending applications have been asked to attend with all relevant documents, including application details, supporting papers, identity proof, payment challan receipts, and any correspondence related to their case.

Mutation applications, which involve changes in land records, often face delays as Mamlatdars handle multiple responsibilities and may be in charge of more than one office.

The camps are expected to speed up hearings and reduce the backlog.

A public notice issued by the Collector’s office has urged residents to make use of this opportunity. Officials said the camps will not only speed up the process but also improve transparency and efficiency in the revenue system.

With land ownership and clear records being key concerns in Goa, the initiative is seen as a step towards easing public grievances and building trust in governance.
