
Tourism and IT Minister and Porvorim MLA Rohan Khaunte offered prayers for the health and well-being of the Prime Minister at the Vithoba Rakhumai Temple.

Tourism and IT Minister and Porvorim MLA Rohan Khaunte on Tuesday led a series of community initiatives in Porvorim to mark the completion of 12 years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s tenure.
The programme was attended by Zilla Panchayat member Amit Asnodkar, Penha de Franca Sarpanch Sapnil Chodankar, Socorro Sarpanch Sonia Pednekar, Mandal President Vineet Parab, panch members from three village panchayats, party workers and senior citizens.
The day began with a cleanliness drive at Betim under the “Swachhata Hi Seva” campaign. Volunteers and residents participated in collecting roadside waste and spreading awareness about cleanliness. The drive was held in line with the Swachh Bharat Mission launched in 2014.
As part of the programme, Khaunte offered prayers for the health and well-being of the Prime Minister at the Vithoba Rakhumai Temple and Shri Guru Singh Sabha Gurudwara in Betim.
Later, he participated in a wellness programme titled “Health with Ayurveda | Checked by Doctor 2.0”, which focused on preventive healthcare and the integration of Ayurveda with medical assessment.
Speaking on the occasion, Khaunte said the completion of 12 years of Prime Minister Modi’s tenure was a significant milestone and highlighted the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047. He said nation-building requires collective participation and urged citizens to contribute towards the development of Porvorim, Goa and the country.
Citizens, healthcare professionals, community leaders and youth volunteers also participated in the initiatives.
