While senior Congress leaders are gearing up to participate in the mega 'Save Goa Save Mhadei' meet on Monday, the five-star culture is taking a root in the party's youth wing that has planned installation ceremony of its newly elected president Joel Andrade.
The invite, which is now circulating on social media, mentions Indian Youth Congress President Srinivas BV as the chief guest with South SP Francisco Sardinha, Opposition leader Yuri Alemao, MLAs Carlos Alvares Ferreira and Altone D'Costa, and present and past GPCC President Amit Patkar and Girish Chodankar respectively, among others to grace the ceremony. It is however not known if the party leaders will attend the event, which is slated to be held on the same day at a five-star resort.
Congress last December appointed CCP Councillor Andrade as the President of Goa Youth Congress after the elections which five others contested.
The youth congress' event at the luxury resort is being held at a time when the Congress hits out at the BJP for five-star culture.
