‘Pakistan Zindabad’ boards found in Goa's coastal belt; police detain two persons

In two separate incidents reported from the coastal stretch of Baga and Arpora, LED display boards of two shops were found flashing slogans of “Pakistan Zindabad”, prompting swift police action before possible law and order problem.

Details shared by the police reveal that upon receiving information that Revive Hair Cutting Salon at Baga and Whiskey Pedia at Arpora were flashing these LED boards, Calangute and Anjuna police detained the respective operators and disconnected both boards.

Police have registered FIRs in both police stations under Sections 152 read with 61(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) -- charges of instigating disharmony and enmity; and Sections 66C and 66F of the Information Technology Act.

North Goa Superintendent of Police Rahul Gupta said further inquiry is underway.
