2 key accused surrender in Pirna murder case

The Colvale Police have made significant progress in the Pirna murder investigation after two key accused surrendered before them on Tuesday.

The accused have been identified as Ravishwar Naik of Guirim and Vitthal Tuyekar of Candolim. Police confirmed that both men are directly linked to the murder case.

The investigation began after the body of a young man, aged between 25 and 30, was discovered on an open plateau in Pirna.

Preliminary findings indicated that the victim had died due to assault injuries.

Police had formed multiple teams to trace the suspects and had been maintaining pressure on them, leading to the duo surrendering at the Colvale Police Station.

Both have been arrested and their interrogation is underway to establish the motive and reconstruct the events leading to the crime.

Earlier, on November 2, three other suspects had been taken into custody.

With the surrendering of the two, five suspects are now in custody as investigators piece together sequence of events.
