CANACONA: Canacona police arrested a Bihar native on charges of illegal possession of drugs valued at Rs 5.09 lakh on Tuesday afternoon.
According to the Canacona police, a team led by PSI Ramdas Doifonde conducted a narcotic raid at a flyover at Char-Rasta in Canacona and caught Manoj Yadav, a native of Lakhisarai, Bihar, red-handed for being in illegal possession of 5.097 kgs of greenish-coloured dry leafy substance suspected to be ganja, worth Rs 5,09,700.
The accused was arrested and later remanded to five days in police custody by the JMFC Quepem. Further investigation is being conducted by Canacona PSI Babu Dessai.
