BJP govt failed to control veggies prices, how will common man survive: AAP

PANAJI
The Aam Aadmi Party on Thursday held a protest against the State government for their failure to curtail the prices of onions and other vegetables. Leaders of Aam Aadmi Party's women wing, Uma Volvoikar and Patricia Fernandes were present along with other AAP activists and members for the protest rally.

Uma Volvoikar said: "The prices of vegetables, especially onions have been skyrocketing and Goan households are finding it extremely difficult to make ends meet. It has become even more difficult in Goa to survive due to job losses and the closure of businesses because of the decline in economic activities due to the pandemic and subsequent lockdown."

Volvoikar further said that the state government has never understood the difficulties of the common man and has not taken any steps to reduce the difficulties of the common man. Therefore the Aam Aadmi Party's Goa chapter demands that the chief minister takes immediate steps to make the prices of vegetables and other groceries affordable to Goans.

Patricia Fernandes in her address said that the Chief Minister should bear in his mind that he should consider the interest of Goa and Goans first and foremost and not the interest of Adani, and immediately reduce the prices of onions and other vegetables.
