Chief Minister Pramod Sawant chaired a review meeting on Tuesday on the upcoming Veterinary College in Panaji, directing officials to ensure the institution becomes operational by June.
The meeting, attended by senior officials, focused on expediting completion of the campus infrastructure, procurement of essential equipment, establishment of the veterinary hospital and clinical complex, and creation of teaching and non-teaching posts.
Key issues such as affiliation with Goa University, land availability, and transport connectivity were also discussed, particularly in relation to the proposed Fisheries College.
The Chief Minister also reviewed the status of the fisheries sector, with deliberations on infrastructure needs, availability of qualified Goans in fisheries, and concrete steps towards establishing a Fisheries College in the State.
