Panaji: A narcotic raid carried out by the Panaji Police late last night in Campal led to the arrest of a 27-year-old man found in possession of one kilogram of suspected Ganja.
In a press note released earlier today, North Goa SP Rahul Gupta stated that the accused, identified as Yuraj Karde, a resident of Malim, Betim, was caught red-handed with the contraband, a green leafy substance suspected to be Ganja, valued at approximately Rs 1 lakh in the international market. The police also seized a vehicle used during the offence.
According to SP Gupta, the raid was conducted last night between 9:20 pm and 11:50 pm near Campal’s BD Ground, based on reliable intelligence inputs and careful planning. The seized narcotics have been taken into custody, and further investigation is in progress.
