Is Zuarinagar becoming a hot-bed for drug-related activities?

It is learnt that a third arrest of an alleged drug peddler was made in Zuarinagar within a fortnight. According to the Anti-Narcotic Cell (ANC), a drug peddler procured ganja in bulk from Maharashtra and engaged migrant youth to distribute it locally. The drug supplier was caught in possession of ganja worth Rs 91,000. It may be recalled that action was taken against a food delivery agent and his supplier for supplying narcotics. Given the fact that Zuarinagar has a large migrant population, the place could be a hotbed for drug-related activities. Most of the migrant youth living in the locality could be unemployed, and there is every possibility of them becoming distributors of drugs in order to make a quick buck. The ANC officials need to keep a close watch on the activities of the migrant youth, especially those engaged in door-to-door delivery of food from food delivery companies. There is every possibility of these food delivery personnel, especially migrants, being used as conduits for the delivery of drugs by drug suppliers. Thorough investigation of the drug scandal in Zuarinagar could lead to more youth being apprehended.
