Minority MLAs have failed their community members

The two nuns from Kerala and a co-accused arrested for alleged human trafficking and forced conversion were finally released from Durg Central Jail in Chhattisgarh on Saturday, after a court granted them bail holding that the case which was filed against them under the pressure of some Bajrang Dal activists was based on "mere suspicion". Several leaders from Kerala, including LDF MPs and leaders of so many opposition parties like the Communist Party of India (Marxist) and the Congress had come out in full support of the two nuns and were demanding their immediate release right from day one. Unfortunately, our Goan minority community leaders from the BJP,  AAP as well as the Congress (with the exception of Aldona MLA Carlos Alvares Ferreira) had not bothered to condemn the acts of the Bajrang Dal goons or to make a single statement with regards to the two innocent nuns. I think that the minority community voters should take a serious note of the above and send all these leaders home in the next assembly elections for not upholding fundamental rights of their own community members.
