In the wake of the leak of the NEET-UG papers, the exam had to be cancelled affecting lots of young students. A disruption in the exam schedule leads sometimes to the loss of a year for the children which should be avoided since the break could be harmful to their process of pursuing higher education. All this needs to be understood by our educational system and our government because time and again school leaving, college and entrance exams to professional courses are disrupted mostly because of paper leaks. Consider now how the educational system has been systematically subverted from what information has come out from the investigation into the leak of the NEET-UG papers where it is not the administrative staff who are among those arrested but teachers upto the level of professors. The worst part in the NEET-UG fiasco is that for the re-examination scheduled in June 2026 it was decided to transport the exam question papers by Air Force planes. This is like calling out the Army when you have a civil commotion. Despite this the Union Education Minister refuses to resign on account of inefficiency.
