Chandor Sports Club edge past Uguem Rising Club

Chandor Sports Club edged past Uguem Rising Club 6–4 in a penalty shootout to secure a place in the quarterfinals of the Late Manuel Joao Pereira & Late Menino Santan Fonseca Tournament, organized by Navelim Sporting Club. The match was played at Rosary Ground, Navelim.

Uguem Rising Club had an early opportunity to take the lead, but Rutik Bandekar missed a chance in the 5th minute. Chandor Sports Club also came close, with Mario Fernandes failing to convert in the 20th minute.

With both teams unable to break the deadlock during regular time, the match was decided via a tiebreaker, where Chandor Sports Club held their nerve and emerged as the better side.

The prize was presented by Succor Fernandes, a member of the Executive Committee of Navelim Sporting Club, to Ashwell Peixoto of Chandor Sports Club.
