Chowgule Sports Club emerged champions of the Goa Premier Division League T-20 tournament organised by the Goa Cricket Association after defeating Geno Sports Club in a thrilling Super Over in the final played at the GCA ground in Sanguem. Both teams had finished tied at 191 runs in 20 overs before Chowgule clinched the title in the Super Over.

Batting first at the GCA ground in Sanguem-Cotarli, Chowgule Sports Club posted 191 for 4 in 20 overs. Sanath Nevagi smashed a blistering 82 off 52 balls, hammering one four and nine sixes to give his team a solid start. Madhur Yadav contributed a composed 59 off 47 balls, while Sanket Morajkar provided the finishing touch with a quickfire 24 off just 9 balls to take the total to 191. For Geno, Pundalik Naik, and Mehank Dharwadkar picked up two wickets each.

Chasing 192, Geno Sports Club also adopted an aggressive approach. Veer Yadav blasted 66 runs off only 23 balls, attacking the Chougule bowlers relentlessly, while captain Manthan Khutkar supported him with a valuable 50. In a match that went down to the final over, Geno were bowled out for 191 in 20 overs, resulting in a tie. Shubham Tari starred for Chougule with figures of 3 for 34.

In the Super Over, Geno managed only 6 runs while batting first. Felix Alemao bowled brilliantly, taking one wicket, while another batter was run out. In reply, Chowgule chased down the target in just three balls. Captain Darshan Misal sealed the victory with a six, helping Chougule Sports Club lift the prestigious title.

The prize distribution ceremony was attended by Goa Cricket Association president Mahesh Dessai, secretary Tulshidas Shetye, vice-president Paresh Phadte, treasurer Syed Abdul Majid, joint secretary Anant Naik, member Mahesh Behki and other dignitaries.
