St. Sebastian Youth Club Murida defeated Shiroda Youth Club 4-2 via tie-breaker after a 2-2 draw to book a place in the final of the Assumpta Cup 26 at the Sarzora football ground on Sunday.
Shiroda Youth Club opened the scoring in the 17th minute through Atharv Ghadi and carried a 1-0 lead into halftime.
St. Sebastian Youth Club Murida, Fatorda came back strongly in the second half and restored parity in the 33rd minute through Clencio Pinto. Shiroda regained the lead when Atharv Ghadi scored again from a direct free-kick in injury time. However, Fatorda struck late to level the score at 2-2 and force the match into penalties.
In the ensuing tie-breaker, St. Sebastian Youth Club Murida, Fatorda held their nerve to seal their place in the final. Atharv Ghadi was adjudged Man of the Match.
