Curtorim Gymkhana edged past Shiroda Youth Club 3–2 to book a semifinal berth in the 2nd Vauradencho Ixtt Trophy, organised by Batora United Curtorim in association with Margao Sports Club, at the DSYA ground, Curtorim, on Friday.
Shiroda made a blistering start with Climax Fernandes scoring the fastest goal of the tournament in the 2nd minute, followed by Royston Vaz doubling the lead in the 10th minute. Curtorim pulled one back in the 15th minute through Rhay Dias to trail 2–1 at halftime.
In the second half, Shiroda missed chances to extend their lead, and Curtorim capitalised. Aliston Fernandes equalised in the 45th minute after a cross from Jovial Martins. Curtorim sealed the win in the 50th minute when Milagres Fernandes converted another assist from Jovial Martins.
Jovial Martins of Curtorim Gymkhana was named Man of the Match, with the award presented by NYK awardee Inacio Noronha.
