MARGAO
In a commanding performance marked by attacking flair and tactical discipline, Don Bosco Oratory, Fatorda, cruised to a 3-0 victory over Sporting Club of Davorlim in a high-intensity encounter at the Our Lady of Merces All-Goa 8-a-side Football Tournament in Chinchinim.
Don Bosco struck early, with Cliff Baretto opening the scoring in the 10th minute through a sensational long-range effort that caught the Davorlim goalkeeper by surprise. Maintaining relentless pressure, they doubled their lead in the 19th minute when Hanslum Furtado nodded in a precise cross to give his side a firm grip on the match.
Leading 2-0 at halftime, the Fatorda outfit continued to dominate in the second half. Their third goal came in the 56th minute, with Valito Miranda smartly finishing off a sharp corner delivered by Baretto, who played a pivotal role throughout the game.
Davorlim, meanwhile, struggled to find rhythm in attack and were unable to penetrate Don Bosco’s well-organized defence, ultimately ending the match without a goal.
