Fr Agnelo YSC Paroda entered the final of the Mount Carmel Trophy with a 4-1 win over St. Sebastian Youth Club, Murida (Fatorda) via tie-breaker at Rosary Church Ground, Navelim, on Monday. The tournament is organised by Our Lady of Mount Carmel Chapel, Telaulim, in association with Carmel Sports Club.
The match remained goalless at full time, forcing a penalty shootout to decide the winner. In the decisive shootout, Fr. Agnelo YSC Paroda converted through Kanchan Kiro, Fedrich Fernandes, Salvin Fernandes and Rayan Menezes. For St. Sebastian Murida, only Clive Miranda managed to score.
Goalkeeper Ravil Fernandes emerged as the standout performer for Paroda, saving two penalties and three one-on-one chances. He was adjudged Man of the Match by Fr. Valentine Alvares.
