In a major boost to youth sports in South Goa, a Free Football Summer Camp for children of the Benaulim Constituency is set to begin on May 1 at the Varca Sports Club Ground. The initiative, led by Warren Alemao, aims to promote fitness, discipline, and teamwork among the young participants while nurturing local football talent.
Running from May 1 to May 17, 2025, the camp will be held every morning from 7:30 AM to 9:00 AM, and is open to children from across the constituency.
“This camp isn’t just about learning football. It’s about building character, confidence, and community through sport,” said Alemao, emphasizing the values of health, discipline, and personal development that the program aims to instill.
Each session will be followed by a nutritious breakfast, and all participating children will receive football jerseys as part of the initiative.
The training will be overseen by a team of certified AIFF diploma license holders, ensuring a high standard of coaching. The coaching lineup includes: Savio Fernandes (B License), Jonathan Faleiro (B License), Siddharth Murthy (C License), Thapa, Aliston, Aster, Sevon, Milton, Navilla, Royanna (D License).
