The Goa sepak takraw team brought pride to the state by winning the silver medal in the doubles event at the Khelo India Beach Games 2025, held at Ghoghla Beach, Diu.
The medal-winning team was led by captain Abdul Shaikh, alongside teammates Sushrut Kharade and Alok Yadav, who put up a spirited performance throughout the tournament.
The team was guided by coaches Rupesh Mhapshekar and Divakar Gaonkar, with Mysie Mendes serving as team manager.
This achievement marks a significant milestone for Goa in sepak takraw, highlighting the state’s growing presence in emerging sports on the national stage.
