Jay Gupta, fresh from his national team camp, is gearing up for the new season with FC Goa. Despite some disappointing results at the camp, Gupta is determined to turn the page and focus on upcoming challenges.

Reflecting on his time with the national team, Gupta said, "The results weren't what we hoped for, but they’ve only made me more determined to succeed. I’m bringing that energy back to FC Goa, where the atmosphere is positive and full of drive. I'm really focused on getting a win in our next match against Jamshedpur."

Last season, FC Goa finished in third place and fell short of reaching the finals. Gupta, now entering his second season with the club, is eager to help the team clinch the trophy. "We learned a lot from last year and recognized what we were missing. Winning the Bandodkar Cup in pre-season shows that we're stepping up and ready to go the extra mile. We’re all confident and committed to winning silverware this season," he said.

Gupta’s career has seen significant growth, with a standout debut season at FC Goa followed by his debut for the Indian national team. As he enters his second season, he remains focused on learning and improving. "Last year was a big opportunity for me, and I’m grateful for it. This year, I’m still growing and learning about the league and how to present myself. It’s important for me to stay focused and continue developing," Gupta explained.

Looking ahead, Gupta is optimistic about the support from FC Goa fans. "Last season, we had great support, especially during the semifinals. This year, we're putting in extra effort to achieve our goals, and I believe the fans will see that commitment. We’re excited to make them proud," he said.

Gupta also shared his thoughts on living in Goa, which has become like a second home for him. "Starting my career with FC Goa has been amazing. The players and the environment have been incredibly welcoming. I’ve made many friends, which helps a lot in managing the demands of the season. Goa feels like a second home, and it’s been a big part of my growth as a player," he added.
