Goa's Under-19 women's team concluded their campaign in the Elite Under-19 One-Day Trophy with yet another heavy defeat.
On Sunday, Goa went down to Uttarakhand by a massive margin of 303 runs. Batting first at Vadodara Cricket Academy Ground, Uttarakhand piled up 348 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in their allotted 50 overs. Chasing a daunting target, Goa were bundled out for just 45 runs in 20.4 overs.
Dhriti (93) and Nirjala Mahra (69) gave Uttarakhand a solid opening stand of 121 runs. In the middle order, Kareena struck a half-century, scoring 58 runs. Goa also conceded 30 extras.
For Goa, Nikhila Naik was the most successful bowler, claiming four wickets for 75 runs in her 10 overs. Prachi Nikam picked up two wickets for 46 runs, while Usma Khan (1 for 50) and Vidhi Bhandare (1 for 76) took one wicket each.
With five defeats from five matches, Goa finished at the bottom of Group A.
