Ganpat Parsekar College of Education held its annual Sports Day on Saturday, March 8. The event featured various interclass tournaments, including chess, table tennis, badminton, tennikoit, football, cricket, tug of war, and dodgeball. In addition to these sports, the Physical Education Department organised a self-defense session for women, in celebration of International Women's Day, along with activities such as Zumba, shot put, discus throw, a tie-breaker competition, and the Ironwoman challenge.
The chief guest, Siddhesh Kesarkar, Assistant Director of Higher Education, encouraged students to balance sports with academics and to maintain sportsmanship as they transition to teaching careers after completing their BEd programme. Guest of Honour, Varad Parab, spoke about the impact of sports on personal development and its role in shaping character. The event was also attended by Principal Dr Pandurang Pandit and Director of Physical Education Lt Dr Aniket Kerkar.
