Goa’s Harsh Mane was one of the local talents to impress at the ongoing Yonex-Sunrise All India Junior Ranking Badminton Tournament 2022 Goa at the Manohar Parrikar indoor stadium in Navelim.
Competing in the U-19 nationals, the 14-year-old Harsh, who is an Under-15 player, registered a skillful 15-6, 15-13 victory over Amuk Tyagi in the third round on Saturday. However, Harsh could not repeat the result on Sunday afternoon as he went down fighting 10-15, 14-16 to Raja Venkat Suryaneni in the fourth round of the qualifiers; and with that came to an end the Goans’ bid to make it to the singles Main Draw, that starts on Monday afternoon.
