Last date for nominations is July 31

The Directorate of Education has invited self-nominations from teachers for the CM-Vashistha Guru Puraskar 2024-25. The last date to apply is July 31.
For government secondary and higher secondary schools, teachers must be recommended by the Head of the Institution. In the case of government primary schools, the Assistant District Educational Inspectors of the respective talukas will make the recommendations. For Principals or Headmasters of government schools, the recommendations will be made by the Deputy Director of Education (DDE) of the concerned zone.
For aided schools, including Principals and Headmasters, the recommendation must come from the Chairman of the school’s Managing Committee.
The DDE of the South Educational Zone will send the nominations to the South District Selection Committee. The DDE of the North Educational Zone will send theirs to the North District Selection Committee. For the Central Educational Zone, the DDE must ensure that nominations from Tiswadi taluka go to the North District Committee, while nominations from Ponda, Sanguem, and Dharbandora talukas go to the South.
The selection process for the CM-Vashistha Guru Puraskar 2024-25 will take place at both the district and state levels. Teachers shortlisted at the district level will be required to make a presentation before the State Level Committee.
