Ishita Colaso, Aarna Lotlikar, and Neeza Kamat have advanced to the girls’ finals at the DBO–Edcon All Goa Major Ranking Table Tennis Tournament 2025, being held at Don Bosco Oratory, Panjim.
In the U15 Girls category, top seed Ishita Colaso defeated Samaira Verlekar 3-1 in the quarterfinals and followed it up with a commanding 3-0 win over Inara D’Souza in the semifinals.
Inara, meanwhile, produced one of the day’s biggest upsets, edging out third seed Gianna George 3-2 in a thrilling quarterfinal. On the other side of the draw, second seed Aarna Lotlikar survived a tight 3-2 battle against Tisha Shaikh before cruising past Sachi Desai 3-0 in the semifinals to set up a mouthwatering title clash with Ishita.
Earlier, Sachi had defeated another strong contender Aayushi Amonkar with a 3-1 scoreline in the quarters. Organised by Don Bosco Oratory, Panjim, in aegis with the Goa Table Tennis Association and supported by Edcon Developers, the tournament has showcased Goa’s brightest young paddlers in action.
In the U17 Girls event, Ishita continued her superb form, downing Samaira Verlekar 3-0 in the quarterfinals and repeating the same scoreline against Samaira Soares in the semifinals. Second seed Neeza Kamat was equally dominant, defeating Aarna Lotlikar 3-0 in the quarters and Gianna George 3-1 in the semis to book her spot in the final. Earlier, in other quarters Samaira Soares edged out Sanisha Sinha 3-2 while Gianna George brushed aside Aayushi Amonkar 3-0.
