Day one of the KOFS Cup 2.0, organised by Kick Off Football Schools, was well attended at the Sunshine School Ground, Old Goa. Matches in the Under-8, Under-10 and Under-12 categories were held on the opening day, with young players displaying skill and enthusiasm.
All Under-15 matches will be played on Sunday at the same venue. Semi-final matches in the Under-8, Under-10 and Under-12 categories are also scheduled for Sunday.
The semi-final fixtures are as follows:
Under-8: Semi-final 1: FC Goa FS A vs Super 30 A; Semi-final 2: ACE vs JPG Football Stars
Under-10: Semi-final 1: Talent Academy vs FC Goa FS A; Semi-final 2: St. Brittios vs Salgaocar
Under-12: Semi-final 1: Valpoi GFDC vs Rising Stars; Semi-final 2: Vintage 73 vs Salgaocar
Former Head Coach of the Indian Senior Women’s National Team, Maymol Rocky, was also present at the venue and attended the matches, encouraging young players and lending her support to grassroots football development.
A coach from Kick Off Football Schools said, “We are encouraged by the strong support from parents and teams, which reflects the growing interest in grassroots football and motivates us to continue providing a competitive and positive platform for young players.”
