Accused allegedly abused her, took her photo and issued death threats over payment issue

Two men have been booked for outraging the modesty of a woman at a bar-restaurant in Gulem, Canacona.
According to Canacona police, Rajesh Thakarkar, Sudhir Thali and Prashant Talikar, all residents of Nandangadha in Karwar, Karnataka, abused the woman using filthy, derogatory and insulting language at Sudharshan Bar & Restaurant, Gudi-Gulem, on Friday afternoon.
The accused allegedly threatened the woman, saying, “We will lift you, we will molest you and we can even murder you,” thereby insulting her modesty and causing fear for her life and safety.
Police said one of the accused clicked her photograph on his mobile phone, after which all three threatened her over an issue related to non-payment.
Canacona police have booked all three under Sections 352, 79, 351(2) and 351(3) read with 3(5) of the BNS, 2023.
Further investigation is being carried out by PSI Ramdas Doifode of Canacona Police Station.
