Resilient Handballers beat Don Bosco Falcons to lift Goa women’s handball title

Resilient Handballers clinched the title with a narrow 9–8 victory over Don Bosco Falcons in the final of the 1st All-Goa Senior Women’s Handball Tournament.

The tournament, organised by Nexus Sports Club, was held at the Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium recently.

In a high-voltage and closely contested final, Resilient Handballers held their nerve to edge past Don Bosco Falcons by a single goal margin.

Jeanne Claire Da Silva of the winning team was named Best Player, while her teammate Shenaiah Jane Baptista earned the Best Goalkeeper award.

The winners received a cash prize and trophy from chief guest Damu Naik.

The team was coached by Ameer Nadaf and Jeetendra Shirsath.
